Mein Auto:
I have 2017 440 GC x drive....got into a bad accident about a week ago..hydroplaned and lost control and hit eletrical pole...the car had 65k on the dash and was in pretty excellent condition prior to the incident...what's do you guys think write off or no?...estimates have it at 15k in damage...hasnt even went on the lift yet

I think it's a toss up. They'll have to cut off the quarter panel. Doing that it may be repairable under the total dollar cap (whatever that is), but it could go either way. With that particular hit I'm guessing the airbags did not go off.

Look up the value of the car on KBB.com. It's probably in the high $20k's to low $30k's. $15k in damage is well below the 80% of KBB threshold, and they probably don't owe you a luxury rental car until yours is fixed or totaled and bought by the insurance company, as would be the case if there was a third party who is liable. So, I'm betting they'll want to fix it.

That's more than 15k damage even if they are using used or aftermarket parts.

I work at a bodyshop and yea its a total loss specially if ur bags deployed..... hopefully ur insurance will cover it all and if u got GAP to cover the rest

Yupp it was totaled yall..23k in total damage after the adjuster reassessed the damage ..parts...labor....total loss value at 28k plus taxes...and I do have GAP...I'm super sad though...loved that car...I wonder what to go for next

If it is a BMWFS lease then GAP is included. Also if any down payment on the lease will not be refunded by insurance.
