Not Using Brake Pad Wear Sensors?

Out of curiosity, what happens when the brake pad wear sensors are not installed? Does it throw a code?

Not a DTC, but a worn brake warning / alarm. The system requires conductivity through the brake wear detector loops.

Not. sure what you mean by "throw a code"...but there will be a fault code stored by DSC...and the check control system will be flashing some type of brake warning at you.

You will get a warning on the dash, but it will not hurt anything. At 12.00 each, I would replace the sensors if they are damaged. You will then need to clear the warning in the secret menu, or ISTA. The brake system only uses 2 sensors.
