G30 (2017 - Current)
The next generation 5 Series, chassis code G30, arrives at dealers in February 2017. Looking like a scaled down 7 Series and riding on the CLAR platform, the new 5 Series will have a focus on lightweight and sporty performance. Engines options will come from BMW's new B family for the 530 and 540 and a turbocharged V8 for the M550i. Read more about the 2017 5 Series

2020 M550 - 18" Wheel for Winter set ?

Hey guys, quick question. My M550i is on the boat and will be reunited with me soon. I need to get me a set of winter wheels. Can I downsize to 18" for the winter set or will only 19" wheels fit? I'll have the stock MSport brakes.

Go to one of the online part database sites and enter the last 7 digits of your VIN....then browse over to the WHEEL diagrams. Every wheel listed with a part number will fit your car....and also pay attention to any supplemental info that may rule out the wheel fitting properly (like a large M-brake option).

Hopefully you are familiar with the sites I'm referring to...if not here's 3 of my favs because they offer lots of info like the official BMW ETK part database:
  1. Www.realoem.com
  2. Www.bmwfans.info
  3. Https://bimmercat.com

Also note that there should be a winter tire diagram which can be helpful in determine what the recommended winter tire sizes are for whatever size wheel you're going to use.
