Thinking of muffler delete and coil overs btw I'm new to car mods this is my first car I am 17 years old. I live in Los Angeles california and I have spent $2000 on service (tune up) which included new spark plugs new 02 sensors oil change etc. and I do have a job and make about $700 every 2 weeks it's not a lot but it's good for a high school student.

Congrats on joining the bimmer club, but as a 17-year-old, do you realize what you've gotten into? You may have been able to afford to purchase this car, but be aware that maintaining it could cost you $2000 a year unless you are good mechanically. Are you?

After you have banked $2k to cover any maintenance and repair costs, a couple of effective mods would be to swap out the front bumper to an MTech version and maybe add tint to the windows. You have the base model, so I wouldn't waste any money on trying to improve performance. Deleting the muffler may make it sound louder, but it may come at the cost of failing emissions in your state. Another upgrade might be to upgrade your rims. Once again, only consider mods after you have potential repair costs covered.

YOU will lose this car in 12 months or less... this car is not going to treat you right....

why dont you just give us a geographical location so the vultures can circle

*parts car in the making here

Or you can listen, learn and read... and forget everything you just said...

the price of non compliance is loosing the car in 12 months or less

How about keeping it stock and in the best shape possible? If you're trying to impress the ladies, nothing works better than appearing mature and responsible. Well, I suppose it depends on what sort of ladies you want to attract...

What, nobody's suggesting to bag it, stretch and poke, murdered out, blue LEDs and straight piped? Good.

I'm surprised but pleased to hear OP spent money on repairs before thinking about mods though - too many prioritize mods above maintenance and repair.

To the OP: these cars have more performance potential in stock form than you as a new driver can extract. Modding them is a compromise better left for when you have more miles under your belt.
