Is this a good price?

I'm trying to buy a 1998 bmw 323is in Orlando with 170k miles and the guy was selling for 3500 and I talked him down to 2700. But I want to only pay 2200. Is 2700 a fair price

Welcome to Bimmerfest!

It is impossible for us to put a price on a car none of us have seen, and know nothing about but the mileage and year. $2700 might be a fantastic deal or hugely overpriced depending on condition. Spend $150 to get a pre-purchase inspection. That alone could save you hundreds of dollars in unseen repairs and untold misery.

Just saw a guy buy an e36 and got a pre-mechanical and promptly following the purchase the rear shocks poked through the towers. So, they didn't check that.
