MY 18 build on line

BMW has loaded the build config on the US web site, very interesting on how you go about building a 3 series. I haven't check to see if BMW has changed the 4 series yet. What do you guys think of the new way of building your BMW?

I haven't figured out how to add adaptive suspension on any mode including track handling, not part of build website yet. Also apparently not all colors are available with each model. Otherwise for my fantasy builds it allows me to configure as I want (I would want almost all the options anyway, thus fantasy build). It checks out compared to the ordering guide and price sheets in the sticky

The bmwusa.com build your own utility is an abomination, and the "tier" arrangement for MY 2018 makes it even worse. It's a significant deviation from the configuration tool on the bmw.de site (Germany domestic market) as well as from the global standard configurator used on bmw.ca and bmw.com.mx (Canada and Mexico).

Whoever at BMW of NA approved this nonsense should be fired.

I don't see track handling package on any 3-er builds ... did I miss something?

It shows up in the "Packages" section for 320i but not for 330i, even though ZTR is available for both models according to the order guide.

Here's the link for 320i: https://www.bmwusa.com/byo.html#!/bu...kages/dfl4s0to

I find it interesting that the base 330i now comes with the M Sport Steering wheel? " Road ready. Show the world what your 3 Series can do. Black high-gloss design elements on the bumpers and tailpipe catch the eye, while the Sport body design sends a challenge to all comers. An M steering wheel completes the look. "

That's one of many errors and oversights on the sorry excuse of a website called bmwusa.com.

U.S. market customers should just ignore this site, especially its 'build you own' utility. Use the order guides here on Bimmerfest instead.
