HELP PLEASE!!! Been a Week

Hey Guys,

As of Friday of last week Ive been have issues with my 1995 318i. Symtoms consist of loss of power, sputtering, wants to stall when accelerating and is fine when rpms are up and also want to stall when taking off. Almost $500 in and continues the same.

So far what I've done:

Changed valve cover gasket: There was in my spark plugs

Changed spark plugs and wires

Changed Intake Manifold: Found an exhaust Leak

Changed manifold gasket and flange

Seafoamed

What else could it be.

Fuel filter?

Timing?

Clogged Cat?

Anyone else with this issue?

Some bad ignition coils perhaps? Any codes from a BMW scanner?

It has to be throwing some code that should tell you the problem. Maybe camshaft position sensor or bad pcv/ccv.

If your car has the OBD connector under the driver side dash then yes, a regular code reader will work.

My 02 325ci, had a similar issue, mine was the fule filter & fuel pump, I wasn't sure if you said you had a odd "go" when you hit the gas, if it goes slow when you hit it and as you accelerate it will speed up but then slow again it's clogged, I didn't see your year but in older convertible it's left side under back passenger seat the left is just the floater, the filter is on the passenger and it's hard to reach with out a lift or drive ups. Sorry, I missed your model but alot of places these days will not charge you before going through the computer! Don't get got! Good luck!
