Hardtop wont close on 2009 335ci

Have a 2009 335ci. Top is down and wont actuate and close top. Top switch will blink red flashing and then Hardtop Closed warning on dash light up. Doesnt sound like latches are releasing in trunk area when top switch is pulled. Tried a 45 second reset by holding down the close position on top switch. Windows and truck release still works fine. Any suggestions?

Not familiar with your car but in my Z4 there were to areas on each side of the car in the trunk that could not have anything in the them or the top would not close. Bit me more than once!

Thanks for the suggestion. I cleaned out the trunk so there wasn't anything in there to obstruct it.
