E90 328i Transmission question

Hi everyone,

I just purchased an 09 BMW 328i. It has 118.2k miles on it. It has an automatic transmission. I recently started feeling the transmission make clunky sounds when shifting from park to any gear or from any gear in general. The car moves a little so i am slightly worried. It drives perfectly and shifts great but i am still worried about the sounds. I'm new to owning a bmw so i just want to know if this is normal.

Thank you!

.

Not normal. You should never put up with that sort of churlish behavior.

How long has it been since list fluid & filter change? Works magic....

Uh, no. Granted, it's a GM transmission, but the last place I would think to try is a chain such as AAMCO. Find a good independent who is familiar with BMWs, DIY, or (heaven forbid) use the dealer.

An indy? Maybe. A dealer? Maybe not.

But, a free diagnostic is often worth exactly what you pay for it.

Very true. I'll get it checked out by a BMW mechanic. Thanks

Update: I'm starting to feel the shifts now and it's really starting to scare me. I don't know what to do at this point
