Transmission Filter

Vehicle: 2007 M6 (E63)

A couple of questions related to the transmission:

1. Is there a transmission filter that can be changed whenever the transmission fluid is changed, and

2. How many drain plugs are there for the transmission reservoir?

There is a transmission oil strainer that retails for around $55-$65 but does this need to be changed with the transmission fluid is drained/flushed?

I've been told that there are no drain plugs for draining the transmission fluid; the fluid must be pumped out. I'm not sure about this statement.

Thanks for the help.
