Maybe a coding question, not sure

So, I want to fix this. With the car in the garage, I start it up, and when I go in to reverse, the sensors start freaking out because .. well, the front of the house is there. I'm not sure why the car would warn me about things in front of the car, when it is in reverse... Is there something I could do with a code change that might stop this from happening?

I feel a little dumb that I couldn't figure out what to search for, but.. Here it is... Thanks

I was wondering about this too. But mine is a slightly different situation.
For me, I moved my plate from the front bumper and mounted it on the front tow hook so its blocking one of the sensors.
So when I reverse even if I am far from any front obstructions, my sensor screams for eternity until I put the gear out of reverse.

Not sure if its possible to separate the front and rear detection since all sensors on the iDrive screen shows up when you hit reverse.
Just same as when you hit the PDC button when on any gear.

But I would really love if your idea is possible.
