Max 19" tire/wheel size

Was wondering if anyone had any experience with oversizing the standard 35 profile on a 19" staggered setup.

Im running a set of 335i 19" with 235/35R19 front and 255/35R19 Rear and they just dont fill the fenders just right but i have no idea how big I can go... Tire size calcs are great but they don't indicate wheel well limits or rubbing hazards.

I was thinking 225/45R19 front and 255/40R19 rear.

Any opinions?

Iím also interested in higher profile tires. It looks like thereís lots of space, but not sure about strut clearance and such.

UPDATE

I ended up going with 245/40R19 front and 275/35R19 only because they were half the price of the tires I wanted. Everything fits fine, not rubbing and plenty of strut clearance in front and back. The front tires do however come pretty close when steering rack is maxed out but w/e! IMO they fill the wheel well much better than stock. Keep in mind these are on 335i wheels with 12mm spacers all round

I need to wash my car then ill post some pics.

Cheers,
