X1 Wheel & Tire Fitment Question

Hey Guys,

Just bought a 2015 X1 base model by retiring my 2007 X3. I am loving the X1 ride so far and its amazing in spite of being smaller than my previous X3 this car does drive and feel really great. However, since I got a base model (at a hard to say no price) the 17" factory wheels are not something I am jazzed about and would like to upgrade to either 18s or 19s. I have been reading around on this forum on last few days and have shortlisted some used set of wheel/tire combo that I would like to buy but I want to make sure they fit. I am sure I have ready a post about these exact set-up a few days back but for some reason can't seem to find it. It would be great if anyone of you who has used this staggered combination can throw some light on the question below.

Front: 8.5 Width with 35mm offset
Rear: 9.5 Width with 37mm offset

Not sure they tires that are mounted on these but I believe they must be 225 40 R19 fron and 255 35 R19 rear. Please advice if this can fit X1 and if any spacers would be needed or they just be mounted straight in. Thanks for your help.

There are a couple of good offset calculators out there.

Using the one on tiresize.com it looks like fronts would be fine (only 0.04" closer - way less than I went with my 245 40 R17s on a 30mm offset). The rears may need spacers as they would be 0.67" closer, as the wheel offset at 37mm is taking you the wrong way for a wider tire.

Measure how much clearance you currently have and see if you have at least 0.7" (preferably a little more).
