Joining the X1 club

So I've been a regular over on the E90 section for a while now, but I just recently picked up this 2014 X1, so I guess I get to join the E84 section

The look has seriously grown on me. The car will mostly be driven by my wife, and she prefers the SUV / crossover style. I personally don't, and didn't really like the X series, until I got the chance to drive this one home (it was a 2,400km / 1,500 mile trip to get it home). Also, when it sits next to our Ford Escape, it's a lot more nimble looking. I'm actually really happy with it

Congrats!!!

I also got a used one a few months ago. i like it for the most part, i think the only thing is that the suspension is not great a absorbing bump as well as a F30.

I find the suspension a bit lacking as well, but I attribute this more to it being an SUV / crossover vs a car. No matter what you do, things like body roll and suspension feel are just going to be different in SUVs. It will never be as good in cornering and things like that as it's car counterpart, which has a lower center of gravity.

I think once my Run flat tire are worn i will replace with regular tire giving a better ride.....

I also have the sport seat which is my second complain on long trips. not the best seat... for a BMW this is very disappointing.

my old Mazda i would be able to sit for hours!

Interesting. I have a Mazda RX8 that has "sports seats" that also aren't the most comfortable on long drives. Maybe "sports seats" in general just suck for long drive comfort ?

maybe so, but is not a had fix, but adding a seat pad on long trip will do. i just hope that the regular tires will help a bit with the ride.

I have zero problems with the sport seats in my X1 and my very first trip in it was the ~7hr drive home from Chantilly, VA to Charlotte, NC.
