iDrive restarting during auto start/stop?

I have a 2013 328i and in the last week when the start/stop feature engages at a stoplight the iDrive seems to die for about 2 seconds before coming back (Music playing will stop, screen goes blank etc..). This doesn't happen every time and most frequently after being stopped for 30 secs to a minute.

I assume my next step is to have the battery and alternator checked but I wanted to see if this was a known issue that anyone is aware of before I do that. I have done some pretty exhaustive searches via google and on this forum and no hits came back.

Hi, did this issue ever get resolved, and if so, how? I have a 2013 328i with the exact same issue. Neither the dealer nor a small BWM specialist shop has any clue what is happening. They did try replacing the battery but that didn't stop the issue.

Unfortunately not, I wound up selling the car a few months ago. What I did notice was that the issue typically would only happen when it was hot outside and hence AC was running. This could indicate some sort of load issue but it was intermittent.

Thanks for the quick reply. I've actually noticed the same thing - happens more in warm weather. Thanks again.
