7 Series - E65 / E66 (2002 - 2008)
Discussion of BMW's 4th generation E65/E66 7 Series flagship. The E65 generated much controversy, due to its radical styling and iDrive user difficulties. Nonetheless, the E65 broke records to become the best-selling 7-series iteration ever, especially after its 2005 facelift.

Heard grinding noise while steering almost everytime after replacing the rear struts as it was visually fine at that time.

It is hard to say the causality since this was not noticed immediately after the test drive.

Only thing I can remember is the link was in the way of the bottom bolt of the struts. So it might be hytertensioned when trying to get the bolt off.

The top joint was dislodged with melting plastic bearing. The link itself bent down over the drive shaft.

The end of the stabilizer bar, the remaining ball of the top joint and the body of the link grinded off heavily.

Luck enough that the drive shaft seems harder than them. Only has slight grove on it. Otherwise can be split in half.

What was the problem in here? Is it possible the Hydrolic motor turning wrong direction? In stead pulling the link up as normal but pushing it down?

At this moment. The stabilizer bar can be turned easily by hand.

Thanks for your advice
