Sounds like a 340 GT.

I can't believe they paid Emerson Fittipaldi to appear in the Super Bowl commercial and never mentioned him. And what demographic are they appealing to with Steven Tyler? Millenials don't know who he is, and few of us who are his contemporaries are going to be cross shopping a Stinger.

You think Millennials are the target customer for the Stinger?

Pretty much anyone in Generation X is going to recognize him instantly, and will be more likely to afford the GT end of the line up.

Unless Dad purchases the car for them.

Is it just me, or has any one else noticed that the Stinger looks an awful lot like an Optima?

The superbowl ad got my attention. Is there any F30 owner with Stinger experience to share? Local quotes look to be around invoice $36k issue for 2.0L turbo RWD, not bad as an Accord alternative.

I stopped by a Kia dealer and looked at a GT-1 V6 RWD, MSRP 46K, getting into the rear seats is tough, but once inside it's very spacious. Giving 6700 lease cash basically pays for fee and a nice cap reduction.

Motor Trend has added a 2018 Stinger GT to its fleet of cars they drive for a year, the price was 50K, a fully loaded GT2, will be interesting how this car does in the hands of a magazine for a year.

Furthermore, I just built one on KIA's web page and selected no options whatsoever. MSRP was $32,800 . Not sure if KIA dealers deal, but I would not call that a "deal" or "value". Maybe it is loaded considering base F30 with no options, but I would not add any options on 330i anyway. I understand I am a dinosaur on the road to extinction, but I only need MT, driver's electric window and manual AC on my daily driver. Everything else is superfluous or even undesired (like leather or moonroof or auto AC or auto windshield wipers, to name a few). So, no, almost $33,000 before tax does not sound like a deal or value to me. And only to me, I perfectly understand most people are buying cars with completely different set of parameters.

But what about future maintenance? True it is way to early to know how the Stinger will maintain itself, but then again BMW has NOT set the bar too high!

I'm not a Kia fan, but my BMW 440i convertible sucks on mileage also. Even in comfort mode, not driving hard, the mpg is 25% lower than what it says it should be on the window sticker.

You have a hard-on for BMW and 4 cyl's, funny since you have never owned one. My 320 got excellent mileage, it surpassed the EPA rating, and my current 330i get better MPG than what the EPA rates the car. As far as 0-60 times, they are faster then most cars in it's class 10 yrs ago.

I guess I don’t understand what you are saying here. When you say ‘hard-on for BMW’, are you saying that he doesn’t like BMW? Strange, because it is my impression that the OP was putting Kia down, not BMW! What are you saying?

He has a visceral hatred for 2 liter turbos. Can't deal with the fact that they can blow his super hot NA V6 TLX into the weeds. He also has a secondary hatred for BMW or any car that costs more then his TLX. Audi is his favorite car to hate this month.

Gas mileage is also a very big issue for him even though he runs 87 in any car he has, terminal cheapo.

The poster I was responding to is known not to like the 4 cyl BMWs. If you haven't been on the board long enough you wouldn't know this.

That's dumb. I can tell you that I loved my 2.0T 1987.

Just refer to the FACTS I mentioned above.

Even if you can't "bear" them [no pun intended], they are the bottom line.

Car and Driver and other enthusiast magazine measurements have little to do with the average driver. I drove my 328i pretty hard and averaged 25 mpg in the city and 32 on the highway. Both my experience and what you cite as facts are known as data points, not facts.

Hope you will post that old car story over at Acurazine where you have been slamming the 4cylT BMW, AUDI, HONDA etc for the past 6 months or so on almost a daily basis except for the timeout when you were banned.
