Highest Miles

Just curious who has the highest miles on their F30, 31, 32, 33, 34 or 36? What repairs have you had to do to it?

My ‘14 320i has 85,500 on the odometer. I bought it in Feb ‘17 with 47,000. No issues other than a right front control arm when I ran over a curb in a parking lot.

78K miles on a MY2015 328i 6MT. Fully covered by extended maintenance/warranty. Nothing out of the ordinary other than rattles, replacing front brakes/rotors, and then machining the front rotors. I'm on my 3rd set of tires (all seasons), and will probably need a new set in 5,000 or so miles.

Had an early episode of intermittent whistling from the engine. Took it in, the dealer claimed they tightened every nut/bolt and the problem went away.

I have a ton of glitches with music streaming via iDrive
- Displaying a different song then what is playing.
- Scroll wheel doesn't work (stuck at same song) while the iDrive knob works.
- Song stops playing and restarts.

I haven't bothered to try and solve those.

Lots of areas where paint has chipped due to rocks. I think paint is less durable than my E46, not sure if it's AW vs metallic issue or just newer paint technology that is environmentally friendly.

114,522 miles as of this morning on my 2014 BMW 328i. I drive 32 miles each way to work, and take lots of trips skiing from Los Angeles to Mammoth Mountain and Lake Tahoe!

Was any work needed on the car other than scheduled maintenance? Have you been using the dealer or an indy for maintenance?

With my E46, the indy recommended replacing the cooling system shortly after 100K miles as preventative maintenance. That was a big ticket item ($2K, IIRC). Did you have to do anything like that?

Just turned 125k miles on my 2014 328d. Zero issues except for a CEL about an hour after I took delivery with 4 miles on it. The dealer reset it it and it has never come back on. All maintenance done per BMW schedule, all at the dealer. Still have the original brakes too. Only tires & reg maintenance.

I agree with the post about the paint - mine has quite a few rock chips on the front, but I think k that is to be expected after 125k!?!? (Should have added film protection when new...) Great car and still get 50+ MPG on the highway.

Wow! How did you manage that? Granted my driving involves a lot of city, but I barely get 30-40k with each set. At almost 60k now.

60k miles. 2 minor gremlins but my bimmer healed itself :

1. A/C stopped working but came back on at the dealership. Something about it freezing, however, not replicated since. Apparently, a part needs to be changed. Waiting for this summer to replicate and get it fixed.

2. Camera malfunction warning came on for all cameras, however the cameras continued to work. Fixed itself after a couple of days. Checked camera module and it is dry. I'm assuming water near the junction box. Considering how expensive it is to replace 1 camera, I wouldn't even bother getting them fixed if they went out. PS: Cameras are not covered under extended warranty.

EDIT: N26 328i

Sigh, another area where Tesla has surpassed BMW.

Elon's 2008 roadster now has well over 9.2 million miles on it, and is still going.

I have changed brakes once (and have 60,000 estimated till next brake change), replaced oil / filters, air filter, tires twice, spark plugs once and the belts once. Went to an Indy shop in Pasadena, CA for the spark plug and belt change.

Just had an oil change about 2000 miles ago and the BMW dealer said everything looks great on the car!
