Battery Charge Error

Yesterday in an attempt to resolve an issue with my Glove box USB not being recognised I removed the negative terminal of my battery for 5 minutes as per the advice somewhere else on this forum

On replacing the terminal the USB issue was resolved, however I now get an error saying that the "battery is losing charge when the vehicle is stationary"

And all auxiliary functions are disabled when the Engine isn't running (Radio, courtesy lights); and "Autostop" is also disabled.

The battery was fine before I removed the terminal..

Does anyone know how to clear this?

How old is the battery and have you got a battery charger?

This is the worst time of the year for battery failure...especially with the weather you've had up north.

Search on here for Calwaterboydue's post on battery testing.

Could also be a knackered alternator.

Get the fault codes read.

Search on here for Carly and read fault codes, register new battery and code new options.
