spark plugs question

My SA told me today that my spark plugs are due for replacement. My car has 35K miles on it and i find very odd the need to replace them at such low mileage. Aren't they supposed to last 60K miles?

What does the service manual say? Is it covered under the maintenance plan for the first 50k?

It's 45k for '09 750i... for 2010+ it's 60k:

Thank you for the link. You would think that BMW would have given us those manuals or at least have them available in the "Owners" section on their web site. They seem to keep the service information fairly hidden.

Hmmmm... Looks like I may be due based on that link for "recommended". No unusual symptoms. But looking over my service history (that I acquired when I bought the car) I noticed this line item:

Quote:
13,435 0012790200 N63 563 Spark Plugs, B1222Og
Can anyone clarify? I get the mileage at 13,435.

Guess I could call my S/A and inquire exactly...

I want to be pro active here:

So how to tell if my injectors are solid? Or for that matter, the plugs? And why does it seem like this car requires BMW specific plugs? What about aftermarket like BOSH Platinum or the such?

I surely thought something like plugs would be good up to 100k...

I sent you a PM about the injectors. The recommended plugs are Bosch ZR5TPP33. I prefer NJK but contacted them and they said they have no plug compatible for the 2009 750.

The turbo charged engines have shorter service intervals for plugs.
