Please help me save my transmission!

Today was a long day. I was working on my bimmer. Finally fixed my headlight problem. Happy about that. Changed the power steering pump. Turns on a dime now... but something bad happened.

When i had it jacked up in the air, i think i put it down too hard. turned the knob too fast on the jack and it came down pretty damn hard. I was a little shocked, but i continued on to what i was doing.

Then I finally go to take it for a spin and the RED LIMP-HOME PROGRAM IS ENABLED. WTF. Now when i go from park to reverse, neutral, or drive, it jumps like something kicked it in the ass... I was so upset. Looked up a few things on the internet about it and it could be a number of things.

Do any of you lovely knowledgeable bimmer drivers have anything that could help me out right now in my situation? Anything could help at this point.

Get the diagnostic codes, that will help you narrow down the problem.

You'll want a readout from a BMW capable OBDII reader. And you'll want to take it up again for a suspension check! Look close for broken/loose/bent parts, and after, check your alignment. While you're there look for oil leaks[s].

How'd ya do? Post results!
