Heater cable adjustment on 2002 Z3

Had to replace the control unit on my Z3 but now can't get it to change to heat. How do I get to the other end of the cable where it adjusts damper? The know turns easily so I suspect it came loose at that end.

See if you can find what you need here, though I recommend going back to the home page, entering the last seven (7) characters of your VIN to get model-specific information.

You *might* get enough access from the rt footwell, but I expect you'll have to remove the glovebox to get proper access (that info is in the TIS too).

This post shows the far end of the cable at the damper (called a blend door):

This post is about the near end of the cable, in case it has jumped out of the cam track:

Thanks for your help

Your guidance on the cable adjustment at the back end of the cable was just the trick. Toasty warm just in time for our first of winter.
