I got $101 booking online. But it did take some random clicking to get to a page to input the secret code (which goes in the Corporate block BTW).

Yeah, two double beds, but I figure we can try to fix that at check in. And Silver Hilton probably will help.

Are you on the waitlist even with the corporate code? If so, whew, I just made it in time. If you didn't use the code, you'll need that to get them to release a room to you.

True, and it sucks sometimes - but it has its rewards - the wife and I haven't paid for our vacations to St. Lucia for the past 3 years: first class airfares, Jalousie Hilton, rental cars, etc. Whever we want to go somewhere, rarely do we pay much out of pocket. It all adds up. I cherish my weekends.

Hilton is not my first choice.

Marriott - Platinum
Hiton - Silver
Hyatt - Gold

And don't start on airlines.

And there are LOTS of other hotels nearby to stay in. not everyone stays at the Embvassy anyway.

I know that you would be worse than me on that score.

Starwood Gold
Marriott - 5 days short of Gold (I should call them and beg)
Hilton Silver

United 1k
American Gold forever and hitting 2mm lifetime pts in a month or so

Yeah, I forgot Starwood, not sure where I am. Prioity Club Ambassador/Platinum.

Delta Platinum (Million Miler), United Gold, American close to silver, but swithcing to BA miles. And a few others. Unfortunately I make Delta Platinum and then some, United Gold and then some (but not quite enough for 1K, but maybe this year).

I will be at some 45K on Delta by the end of April (and got gypped out of 9K due to a change in program with South African) and about 35K with United by the end of April (actually more, they are missing an Air New Zealand flight).

A friend once said that business travel is fun until you hit your 50k cumulative lifetime mile, then it is real work. It looks like you do that by mid-Feb, every year. I only did 140k last year -- and managed to concentrate it mostly on United and friends.

The rooms I reserved at HC last year are 101 a night, but I just booked an extra room for someone who forgets. AKA Juker or ClintJG...

Any recent rumors on the starting date for Homecoming registration?

As of this morning, the Homecoming 2005 website for 2005 was unchanged since December.

This would be my first time going. Do you pay for registration per person or is per car?
