Iím getting annoyed...

128k on my N26 2013, replaced spark plugs, ignition coils and air filter, car still is losing power, no codes. No check engine light. Iím very close to selling this thing because Iím not trying to keep throwing parts at it...

How can you tell it's losing power? Is it a massive loss of power? It's weird that there's no code.

It seems I have to push the gas pedal down harder and harder to draw more power out of it, tune up I did helped for like a day or 2 now its back to square 1. I will say this. The gas pedal seems to have become more stiff over time. This is a headache honestly.

Is the gas pedal hanging up on the floor mat? Check for crud built up in the pedal hinge.

The brand of mat doesn't matter. All it takes is for the mat to shift and contact the pedal. Look closely....

Your engine needs air, fuel and spark. Are you getting gas from the tank? Is the fuel pump working? Is anything plugging up the air intake? Finally, are you getting a spark at the plug?

To test if itís the floor mats, drive without them for a few days.

I have to say Iím skeptical that thereís a problem. A dealer not finding any codes is pretty definitive.

Hereís another suggestion. There are certainly a lot of members of our forum near you. Maybe one could meet with you and drive your car to see how it compares to theirs.

Yes. Iím starting to see this how more so to do with the throttle adaptation and design of the car. Giving the illusion of a stiffer gas pedal, looks like I may be investing into a BMS sprint booster, itís what Iím seeing some people do. I do a lot more highway driving now than I used to do.

So a bunch of strangers on the internet were able to help you, despite the fact you provided almost no usable information? It's a Christmas Miracle, I tell you!

I'm sure somewhere in there you meant to say "Please" and "Thank You." Maybe next time. Like when the timing chain fails.

I appreciate all of them. Cut the attitude. And lmao you think these timing chains are failing left and right? Why arenít 100s and thousands failing all over the road??? Iím at 127k, I change oil and filter every 4.7-5k miles. ASS off, I stay out and away from using eco pro mode. My buddy has 160k with original chain and guides. Not everyoneís engine is going to grenade dude.

And 2 hours later you post a new thread complaining of the same problem. It does not help your credibility.

To OP, do check out the list of symptoms in this thread, it may provide some hints to the issue. There is no F30-specific thread of similar issue though.

No, I do lots of highway driving so thatís not always possible, Iíve been using different gas stations gas for a while, Iím honestly down to thinking itís this adaptive throttle thing, where I have to really push the gas pedal down to make it move, Iím seriously considering getting a BMS Pedal Tibet to remove the throttle lag, no codes, no CEL, no boost or vacuum leaks. Idk if it could be the gas pedal, it does feel more stiff than usual. I removed the carpet and there was no crud stuck in between the hinges. It just baffles me nobody knows why the hell my car is acting like this. And Iím not throwing more money at random parts to figure out what it is. Itís a 2013 car.. Iím seriously thinking this has to do with the adaptive thing these f30s have. My e60 never had this issue, and if something was wrong believe it me it would throw a code and check engine light...
