Oregon Leather Availability?

Has anyone found a source for the Oregon Leather? This is the pebbled leather which goes in the middle of the seats. If I am wrong someone please correct me! Have the "M" trim option on our '01 & want to redo the seats in the original material. TIA!

I have a 2001 with the same leather. I have a scratch on a front panel, not the pebble texture part, and went to 4 auto leather shops. They all said the pebble leather not available anywhere in the country. Got varrying answers on the non-pebbled leather. One said they have to order a whole hide and they would have to replace both seats to make them match. 2 others said they could replace the panel. One other said the plain leather not available either but could dye available color. Different stories from everyone but all said the pebbled leather not available. Hopes this helps.

@z3jeff, thank you for your comment & hope you are high (geographically) & dry in the Lone Star State. It is really a surprise to me that with the number of BMW vehicles, not only the Z3, which came with this material that somebody is not reproducing it. Guess the age of our vehicles places us between a rock & a hard spot. Not old enough for the restoration crowd & our roadsters are still declining in value as daily drivers & track cars. I will consider redoing the seats in a perforated insert to (hopefully) make the black interior cooler out here in the SW.

Just wondering if any of the members found a source of the Oregon leather.... I'm looking for the Tanin Red. I know this is an old post but hope someone was lucky and found a source. Thank you and please let me know.

To date nothing available that I have found. Anyone in Europe or specifically Germany have any insight as to availability of this material? To make dismantling the seats more challenging, I have read that vehicles with the heated seats as mine have the seat foam some how attached/moulded to the leather & the two have to be separated. Not likely to happen without damaging the foam. Who needs heated seats in AZ? LOL!

The "Oregon Leather" (Oregonleder) as per the original specs, which on my car (98 2.8) is in the seat enters and a part of the door panel is actually vinyl, as I discovered. The covering on certain dash panels is real leather, as evidenced by it's drying, bubbling, and shrinking.Go figure.

I did not expect the standard Oregon Leather seats and doors to be real leather. But would expect the stitched dash covering of the Extended Leather option to be real leather. Which explains its problems.

I had my Dream Red seats and door panels done by Leatherseats.com in OKC. Very happy with the results.
