17 F34 Grinding noise coming from wheel

Hi,

I lease an F34 from an out of state dealer during the last week of March. It was a Factory car with 7500 miles on it

First time I own a BMW so getting use to it, but about a week later I realize that there is a strange grinding noise coming from the front left wheel.

I took it in a local dealer and the service advisor drove it around and said he didn't feel anything off.

A week later I brought it back and they drove it around again and the shop foreman? came and got me and said that he couldn't really tell but they would have to schedule me for service to take a closer look at it and gave me an appoint for mid May.

The grinding noise is pretty obvious and you can feel it while driving from past experiences I would say it is a bad wheel bearing? or maybe a suspension issue. I haven't hit any potholes or anything but the car did have 7500k miles on it.

Any advice? It kinda sucks driving it around like that for another 2 weeks.

Chances of a bad wheel bearing at 7500 mikes seem slight, but you never know. Perhaps a small rock is stuck between the brake backing plate and rotor or caliper. You'd need to get the car off the ground on that corner to remove the wheel to check it.

Additionally badly worn tires can sound like a grinding bearing. Unlikely at 7.5k but possible. Other more likely cause is a failing cv joint.
