I'm being fitted for the handle next week. Until then I have to use the generic one we keep around for noob mods.

How'd you get the Bimmerfest sticker to stick? Did you paint the lip? Because stickers really don't like sticking to bare polypropylene IME.
Bad news ken...I just noticed that my front lip is cracked...sorry
Ill be on the lookout for you one

Knock yourself out.

That was a perfect example of Northern Virginia in a nutshell. I get there during the lunch rush and it's slammed, no cleared spots, maybe half a dozen ones like this with a bit of snow. I kid you not, at least 80% of the cars are SUVs, including the people causing a traffic CF waiting for a spot.

All those people that just had to have the SUV, but won't park on snow cause it'll break it.

Man, crazy icestorm last night!!! Power went out at around 4am, and all I heard was crashing and cracking trees all night long.

@slimkim
I did however finish taking that assessment and it actually wasn't bad, only the first several questions were challenging, and after that it was more of a personality assessment.

I was kind of nervous today because I had scheduled to meet up with Jay at 1pm, even though I called him the night before I didn't give him my phone number, and his phone number only existed in a PM he sent me on the internet, which I no longer had this morning. I've actually driven to my Aunt's place in Raleigh to write this. I also had no idea we were going to get hit with an ice storm so I wasn't sure if he was going to get delayed. Also we didn't really have a specific meeting place just an exit off of I-40/I-85 in mind. I had no idea if I was going to see him on the west side, or the east side, but I got there a little bit before 1, and then I thought I better drive to the incoming west side of the exit, and sure enough, 1 O CLOCK on the DOT, I saw his van pulling his super sweet track car!

I got a nice weighted and shorter ZHP? Shift knob, looks like it has hardly been used, 2 Mann oil filters, 2 thermostats a high and low. New fender liners, front bumper cover, pork chop pieces, an under tray, a new fan and clutch, and pink top fuel injectors, a fan shroud, and spare coolant tank. These things came at perfect timing, because I've noticed my coolant temp never gets half way like it should when its really cold out, so I might need to replace my thermostat. And I need to do an oil change.

Thank you so much Jay! You made my day, and next time you're around when you can spare some time, I would love to take you out for lunch. It was a real pleasure meeting you and checking out your car, I would love to get together with you at VIR or some place where I can see your car's tires on the road rather than a trailer. Cheers my friend!

So I posted my cracked bumper (cracked lip included) on craigslist and a guy is bringing me $60 for it tonight. I told him I couldn't give it to him untill the car went to the shop and he was cool with that, so my new bumper basically cost me $75.

Dwonda, just try to write out the first order equations. Since it's multiple choice you likely won't have to solve any complex equations. You can eliminate some of the choices immediately and then even if you guess your chances of guessing correctly are better.

A= 2xB
B>D
A=C
E is less than A

Good luck!
Ya when I sat down and got serious about it I also got some scratch paper and a pen, where I was able to illustrate all the problems graphically, I only ran out of time once. I am strictly a visual and hands on learner only. I find it difficult to store much in short term memory, I continually stop and focus on the wrong things. I've also had ADD ever since I can remember, but stopped taking meds as soon as I finished college.

Even on the M62, the chain itself doesn't typically just fail out of nowhere. Failure comes from slapping against the guides and other things due to a failed tensioner or worn guides, both of which should have given ample audible warnings for thousands of miles before it just "broke".

In other news....journalism is dead (Exhibit D). I'm convinced no news organizations still employ proofers.

It passed MS Word spell check, so it must be correct, right? Hint: They were meaning "inflection".

Nice. I saw a Tesla model S on 95 between B-more and D.C. a couple weeks ago, it was pretty sweet.

Update on that. Kid died at the hospital. He was 19, and if you couldn't tell from the picture, it was a bmw.

On Friday, March 7, 2014 at approximately 3:00 am, a BMW SUV being operated by a sole occupant was traveling northbound on South Capitol Street, Southeast. The vehicle continued traveling northbound, outside of the United States Capitol Police secure perimeter, where it struck a flower planter protecting the South Capitol Street and D Street, Southeast vehicle entrance, which was closed. As a result of striking the flower planter, the vehicle was propelled airborne and struck a tree on the southwest curbside of the United States Capitol Police secure access travel lanes where it ultimately came to rest. DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel transported the operator of the BMW to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries...

I love cultural differences. They're fascinating to me. I see at least 5-6 per day here in the Bay Area.

Yep, I see a lot of them here, too. Probably around 3-4 per day and rising. Great looking cars!

Quick question guys, to disable the ASC system you are supposed to pull the ASC relay, right? I just did that and it disabled the ASC and ABS. What am I supposed to do to disable the ASC only.

You need a 10 ohm resistor in where the ASC module was. It will "trick" the system and you will only get the ASC-off light on your dash,
