Coupe or Roadster? If it's a coupe then the lift gate glass is P/N 51 31 3 420 806 with MSRP of $348.72. Tischer price is $278.98 plus shipping.
In Seattle us Bimwads use Professional Autoglass, 10560 Aurora Ave N, Seattle - (206) 542-1513. Ask for Warren Craven.

Returned home to find the rear glass in the convertible top broken. 2003 Z4 2.5 Roadster. Is the glass replaceable or whole new top required? (I think it needs a new top anyway.) Will be insurance. Any idea on cost?

Sucks that happened. To my knowledge, the window is bonded in as an integral part of the soft top, so is not available separately. An insurance claim would be for the complete top, not the glass.

^This^

The window is bonded to the top and is not separately replaceable. A quality aftermarket top runs $700-$900 and figure about $1K for installation.
