E39 (1997 - 2003)

Thread resurrection time

I just adjusted my door strikers, because my doors were hard to close. FWIW, I had to pull my strikers OUT (away from the center of the car) to make the door happy.

All good now. Thanks to the OP.

EDIT: although my doors shut easily now, they look like ass. They stick out from the car. The search for perfect alignment/operation continues.

Just to be contrarian (= a dick), BMW warns not to "alter striker depth adjustment".

Excellent find, thanks for that. I think I will go through their full alignment procedure on the weekend and see what happens.
