I have two blind spot mirrors on my Z4 and find them to be an excellent solution to fix the blind spot. As they say "Safety First" Below is a photo of the round Blind Spot mirrors I have on my factory mirrors.
Many drivers angle their "wing" mirrors far too close to their own car.
Let's face it, I like looking at these new Z4's as much as the next person... but the side mirrors should be angled OUT to view OTHER cars... just as they are lost from view in your "rearview" mirror.
This simple adjustment makes "glue on" mirrors unnecessary.
(Option Two)... Drive your new Z like it was meant to be driven - so YOU are passing all other cars! :drive:
As I was taught, what's the point of being able to see your own car in the sideview mirror...it will never hit you! With proper angulation, you have virtually no blind spot.
Just to clear up a point. I am well aware of the correct outside mirror settings to take care of the blind spot ~s~ my car came with the little round mirrors attached to the OEM mirrors (I got it second hand very low milage from a BMW dealer with full warranty) and I dare not to remove them unless someone can tell me how to do it safely without damaging the OEM mirrors?
if you like to see the mirrors go to my garage on my web site.
It's not a big deal...just peel them off with your fingers or a blunt instrument (something that won't scratch, like plastic) and use a razor blade to scrape the remaining adhesive off of the glass.
