'07 Radio and Bluetooth Questions

Found an '07 3.0si locally. Before I go to see it, I have decoded the vin and found it has the following radio options:

S640A Prep f telephone installation universal
S645A BMW US Radio
S662A Radio BMW Business CD
S677A HiFi System Professional DSP
S692A Preparation, BMW 6-CD changer I-bus

Will this have bluetooth?

If not, can it be easily set up for bluetooth?

Is there an AUX/RCA jack input anywhere?

It this the THX rated speaker system?

Is the system easily upgradable?

Thank you

It should (my '07 Si does). Phone/voice only - no audio streaming.

Yep. A 3.5mm jack is in the very front of the console of all '07s.

The Si gets the premium Carver audio that is THX certified.

You can add devices using the CD changer wiring. The device has to be designed to interface with the Z4 bus. I have added XM radio to mine and there are other kits for doing things like bluetooth streaming.
As far as replacing the head unit and/or speakers, that would be a total gut job as the individual components use non-standard interfaces.

So BT allows my phone to pair and using a pairing device with the CD changer wiring would allow streaming music from my phone?

Sorry if this sounds silly, but I'm not a tech guy. I just want to be able to listen to blogs or Pandora from my phone. Preferably without a 3.5mm wire, but if thta's necessary, then ok.

Thank you

Yes to answer your question. It will pair to the car directly via BT for calls and then you need a device such as this: https://coolstreamrocks.com/coolstre...usic-receiver/ but it attaches via the OEM iPod connection so you will need this too. This would give you streaming audio which is what you want.

Sound quality is decent, but with the coolstream I have to turn the volume up higher and there is some background hiss. It is an acceptable compromise for me to have the streaming.

I use the AudioVox Dice. That plugs into you CD changer connection. Its a better connect with your phone on Bluetooth (hands Free and Streaming ) Offers Aux and USB , XM as well. you only get 2 spots to pair you bluetooth with your car and when its full yo uhave to take it to the dealer to clear the pairing computer.

I believe you only have phone BT if you have the SOS call button in the center console. This button would be just below the rear storage door, and has a clear cover over it. My car is similarly equipped, including the multifunction steering wheel controls and mic on the steering column, but it does not have Bluetooth. It basically has all the components except the BT modules and antenna.
