As Doug says, ask in the diesel subforum.

There are no cons versus a similar (328xi) gasoline BMW. The pros are much better mileage; my wife is averaging 37 mpg in her 328xd sedan, in a typical city/highway mix. 45+ mpg highway.

There is no problem finding diesel pumps. There have been only a couple problem areas reported, check in subforum: that is no worse than 328xi which has different problems.

Price seems a bit high.

Is it actually fully loaded? DA+, adaptive cruise, sport/msport, cold weather package? Average wagon is highly optioned, but not loaded.

328d wagon is a special car, just get the right one. 16+ is best......

Yep, Unless exceptional build, condition, and history. 16 for a higher price and under warranty is a better buy.

That's a matter of opinion. I found our 328i to be a very refined ride. Whereas the two different 328d's I had as loaner cars felt like agricultural implements. Highly recommend you find a used 328d on a used car lot somewhere and take her for a spin.
