How Many Miles on Full Tank

How many miles do you guys go before the fuel reserve comes on? From the estimated 400 miles on the dash I get about 260-280 miles and the light comes on with about 50 miles remaining. My mpg is on or around 17 and I run it on premium 92. Just wondering if that's normal mileage or not.

Depends upon if you are using it in City or Hway
On Hway, I have got up to 425+ miles on a tank very easily. In city though I would go about 325 miles to a tank.

The tank capacity is 21.1 gallons, so if you're getting 17 MPG, that should be about 360 miles. When the fuel gauge reaches empty, there is still about 2.5 gallons or so left (to prevent people from actually running out of gas while driving...), so this could be the difference that you're seeing.

You may also need to reset the fuel consumption stored in the cluster to make sure the estimate is accurate.

You can set the reserve setting in the IDrive, mine is set at 1/4 of a tank left. Mine cam on yesterday on a trip at around 425 miles, & I had 65 calculated miles left. This was a road trip at around 70 mph average.

I get anywhere from 12 to 21 mpg, depending on amount of traffic I am in

Mein Auto:
Getting 22.5MPG as my 750 is my commuter car. That's half highway and half stop and go generally. Have only taken one short road trip of 1.5 hours each way with little traffic and got 25MPG. Air conditioning and of course stop and go are the killers for me. ECO Pro removes all of your inhibitions to want to use any of the performance. Given it has X drive, the MPG's have exceeded my expectations and is far better than the 17 I got with my last v8, body on frame suv.

Does the mode you're driving in have much impact? Sport, Comfort, Comfort+, etc

Yes, you're going to get better gas mileage in Comfort than Sport due to lower RPMs and earlier shifts. Eco Pro will get you the best possible gas mileage as it will decouple the transmission when coasting, reduce cabin cooling, etc.
