I'll try to remember my list of repairs they suggested.
The one I did do was the Turbo coolant lines. I believe it was $750 that I paid since the engine was removed already. I have seen others post that they paid a little more than half of that.

They suggested the Pinion Seal, front axle

Others have suggested to get many of the hoses replaced

TURBO Coolant Lines and some type of radiator line were recommended, which I've agreed to. Even though they say no labor charges, the parts seem excessively high!
How did you fare with the engine charge?

Can anyone help me out with the cost/pricing for these parts?
They are in addition to my Engine being replaced.

What exactly is covered with the CCP? Just the oil burning? Or leaky gas lines, injectors and so on?

Well I got her back today. I definitely can see that the engine is new or at least different upon inspection. But I also noticed they changed my Oil Cap...? Looks completely different. Anyone else?

I will give an update after a month or so of driving. I'm particularly interested in oil consumption and if I will get better MPG...

I’m late to the party. After the “customer care package” in 2015 I stopped reading about the cars issues since I wasn’t having any. Now I’m burning a quartz every 3 weeks. I have a 09 750 il with 114k, am I too late for this oil consumption test?

There should be a thread on CCP but I believe injectors are covered for 10 years and or 120k miles, whichever comes first.

I have an appointment next week. Hope I am covered

I'd call your service center and say you are trying to schedule the consumption test due to the lawsuit.
Seems like you would pay a lot of money for this since you are at 114k.
But you never know, good luck

Got it. I'm nearing 105k miles and my build date is 09/2009. CCP was done at 62k miles. Don't think I'm burning any oil, unless the oil sensor is broken. It's beem about 5k miles since an oil change and the oil level is still at max and the exhaust doesn't smoke at all.

Absolutely not. I have a buddy who bought a 2011 at auction with over 100k miles. He took it to local dealer, they tested, it qualified under the class action law suit. Most likely so will yours.

Taking mine in on the 3rd of September due to a suspected injector leak and an oil leak. Hopefully nothing too crazy... Currently at 106k miles, CCP was previously done at 60k.

I finally got the chance to call 2 bmw dealers to bring it in for N63 CCP. I called 2, both had no clue about it. Once I Gave the the Information to the first one they said ok, bring it in sept 10. The other one has no clue about anything. Than said I had the CCP done in 2015. I have An 2011 550 with 90k. Car is pretty mint. Anyways, She stated to send her a copy of the lawsuit. I even sent her the email trail I have between the law firm and I confirming that my vehicle is eligible.

Still waiting to hear back. Funny thing is no mention of this on Carfax or in any records I have. Debating if i should Should spend the six grand it's going to cost to replace the engine, or just buy a Mercedes or something else. The only thing is I'm upside down $4000, just got the car 15 months ago. hopefully they can maybe just fix it at their cost for now

Last week was the first time I went in to a BMW dealer. I told them that there is a fuel smell coming from the right bank of the engine. They asked me what year was my car and how many miles does it have. After that the SA immediately told me that it might be a faulty injector, and that they have a 10yr/120k mile warranty and that they will take a look at that + they will check the car for oil consumption because there's a CCP that they provide.

They should know about these issues with the N63. I'm sure they have at least one car come in for the CCP a week.

These dealers play dumb of course. Best thing about it is that 3 of the plaintiffs from the class action, are from both these 2 names dealers specifically!! I'll just shout them out at this point. BMW of Westchester in White Plains NY and Mt. Kisco BMW In NY.

What's the deal with the ccp and valve covers? If they're leaking should they be replaced by bmw?

So the dealer is saying that the valve cover gaskets are $3600+ and they're not covered by CCP. Is that correct?

BMW of Cincinnati stated that there are around 400 engines on back order. Not sure if that is at there location specifically or country wide.
After complaining to the lawsuit settlement administrator about the dealer telling me I had to make a decision on replacing my engine in 24 hours BMW NA reached out to me. They said they needed a decision because they had to reserve the engine for me because there is a shortage and I was also told no engines until summer 2019 as well. I complained that I wanted another dealer opinion because I want the stems replaced, not a new engine. They refused saying they will only compensate one dealer to diagnose my vehicle. I wanted to know why they would repair instead of replace and I was told she would contact the dealer for a detailed description of why they determined I needed a new engine. No call back yet. I don't feel like they want to help the customer here.

Jerry
I just dropped my car off yesterday. I hope to get an answer today or tomorrow. Everything I've read so far has been 50/50 with all these decisions. Some dealer la will repair some won't bother and just tell you to get a new engine. I also do not want to spend 6k on an 8 year old car.

How did they determine what is warranted for a repair or replacement, did they tell you. Would love to know. Just dropped my car off yesterday for oil consumption test.

Whatever happened with your car. Did it come out ok? I dropped mine off at BMW of Westchester in white plains. Hope I only have to get the repair as well. I'd be ecstatic for not paying 6k for a new engine. Did they tell what their decision was based of off?

The valve stem seals and whatever else the lawsuit says that qualifies for the repair.

Canada?

Does anyone know if the class action applies to Canada? Have searched for it but it falls under BMW North America but seems to apply to the US only.

Thanks.
