Need help: Error code 400641 in ISTA....Parking gear Incorrectly Enegaged..2009 750li

Hi guys: Installed ISTA and read code which came back to code: 400461....Parking gear incorrectly engaged.

Symptoms are: Car will not move nor go into gear. Every time i move the shifter to any gear it defaults back to Park: My car is a 2009 750li XDrive with 130,200 miles on it.

Does anyone have good experience with this and or can shed a little light on what may be causing-this, thanks guys.

Check the coolant level, it might need to be topped off. Mine would default back to park when the coolant was low.

Just wondering, did you ever get the issue fixed?
Mine has currently been doing this as of late. I start the vehicle up, wait about 2 minutes, Shift to Drive (D) and it will take a few seconds and go back to Park (P). After that first try, I do it again and it I can pull off after about 5 seconds.

Your gonna have to change the soleniod in the transmission. While your in there might aswell change the filter, fluid, and other plastic grommets. Well for now I would try resetting the transmission and engine adaptions in ista. Look under service functions.
