I have the standard M240 exhaust and it's a little too quiet, even w/ valve open.
I had retrofitted my E92 with the M Performance and I think the only difference (other than the tips) was the elimination of the resonator.
I ordered a Dinan mid pipe for the M240 and hoping for the same results as the M. P. for 1500 less $.
depends on your definition of luck. The M Performance Exhaust (MPE) retails for $1140 and the chrome finishers $98ea, so total $1336 MSRP for parts add 1hr labor so probably total around $1600 plus tax.
back on luck: well MPE doesn't do anything except make a little more noise. did they factor in the extra cost in the sales price? probably, so were you lucky? probably not.
