B58 cylinder head exhaust ports (?)

I thought the B58 engines were all the same, including the one in the 2020 Supra.
Watching the Papadacis Racing video on YouTube (1000 hp build) it shows the exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head with only two outlets for the turbo to bolt directly to.

Unless my eyes are deceiving me, On my 2018 M240i there are six separate exhaust ports. The turbo is bolted to cyl. 3 & 4 ports but there are separate short tube headers with bellows that connect 1&2 and 5&6 to the turbo. Everything else looks the same.

WTF. Are there two different versions of the B58 cylinder head?
I would not expect that.

there are different variants of B58. I guess you could consider the Supra's B58 different cylinder head since the Supra's B58 internal exhaust manifold is cast into the cylinder head. Here's a good tear down and write up https://www.turnology.com/news/tearing-down-the-new-2020-supra-b58-inline-six-cylinder-engine/ and good pic of the BMW B58 trad exh manifold/turbo https://bmwtechnician.com/2016/06/21/bmw-b58-turbo/ or hanging on and some demystifying engine differences But if you really want to see the different cylinder head with or without integrated exhaust manifold then read the attached B58TU reference manual section 2.1.1 and section 5.2

Ah Ha! Anyone else notice that the Supra for 2021 is changing the B58 cylinder head to the same as on M1/2/340 and Z4 engine?

The cast in head exhaust manifold does not make sense in a performance engine not to mention adding another variant that increases production costs.
Glad to see Toyota wake up and realize that.
