Do we need to reset adaptations for the EGR after cleaning it? I checked NEWTIS and didn't find anything about it, maybe I missed it? Or should I just let the car adapt by itself?

I found this ...

Adaptation of EGR valve

If the exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) valve is replaced, the following service function must be run before it is replaced:

Adaptation of EGR valve
Description and sequence of the adaptation, see corresponding functional description.

Thank you Doug. I tried searching different terms and was not coming up with anything related.

Now off to read!

Hi, the link posted for adaptation (Newtis) is when replacing the EGR. I only cleaned mine. I just cleared the codes that popped up and drove. I would think you would need to reset the adaptations.
