7 Series - G11 / G12 (2016 - current)
The next generation G11/G12 BMW 7 Series flagship forum. Unveiled June 10th, with production starting in August the 6th generation 7 Series comes in a light weight package with extensive use of BMW i carbon fiber technology. The interior quality raises the bar with a touch screen and gesture controlled infotainment system. Exterior styling has been a sticking point with mixed reviews so far.

2015 750 Li or 2016 740i

What do you guys think about the current G's vs the 2015 and earlier models. Will the 2016 be the better car or will the bigger engine in the 2015 make that one the best. Both are optioned very will, both are in great shape. Low miles on both. Both are BMW Certified.

Going to try and go drive them both soon, but I just wanted some opinions from you guys who own the vehicle already.

Thanks

If it were me I would take the G12 '16. The G is more refined IMHO. But I assume you will drive each one, and you will be able to select "by the seat of your pants."

Drove both Saturday. I liked the '16 much better. It seems the changes they made to the chassis were really nice and I really liked the iDrive system better in that one. Still haven't pulled the trigger yet, just hate to give up that Panamera but I really need the extra space.

Thanks for the response and you were spot on, much more refined overall experience. And I won't miss the extra power, that is why I have an M6

Bought the 740i and love it. Just so comfortable and easy to drive.

thanks for all the input folks. Helped a lot. But at the end of the day, I just love the way it drives.

Good choice. I had a 2013 and 2015 750, my 2016 is such a refinement from previous chassis. Congrats on the new ride.

I had a 2015 F01, and now 2017 G12, I've found even the tech in the car (obviously to a point), has gotten better, i.e. giving the car directions over the native idrive, hasn't messed up once, I even said, "Whole Foods" and it sent me to the nearest Whole Foods (without any other info). Greatly improved!
