F22 / F23 2 Series (2014 - Current)
The 2 Series coupe is the replacement for the E82/E88 1 series coupe. Production starts in November 2013 on the 228i (N20) and M235i (N55) coupes. Look for them in dealerships in February 2014. The convertible F23 2 series will follow in the fall of 2014.

Need help with new wheels and tires

I have a 2016 BMW 228i non M package with stock 205 50 17's all around. I was recently almost side swiped and had to swerve to avoid being hit and while doing so I scraped both rims on the passenger side pretty bad. I started sanding down the rims and test painting and with having to do the work 100% outdoors and by hand with high winds daily it's not working out.

A rim repair shop quoted me $195 a rim with a 3 day turn around and I'd have to leave my car there and I could find replacements between $180-220. So I was thinking of just buying aftermarket wheels? I'm not looking 2 or 3 piece forged wheels. It's going on a DD that doesn't do much mileage a year either, mostly city driving, maybe 75-85% City driving. The tires on my car are still good but can't find anything decent 17" inches by 7.5" wide at most to reuse the tires. My car isn't lowered, but in the future would like to lower it. I just don't know if the lower offset and wider rim will cause my tires to rub? I was looking at these wheels. They go for $184 a wheel almost everywhere,I seen these wheels at America's Best/Best Tire. They won't sell me 215/xx/17 only 225/xx/17. I also don't want to roll out my fenders. TIA
