Take it in to have a proper alignment done. They will set the steering wheel straight and adjust the toe from there.

If you are 100% certain that that the alignment is absolutely spot on (doubtful if the steering wheel is off center) then you can remove the steering wheel and install it centered.

Just because the car drives straight doesn't mean the alignment isn't way off.

Had the rear Pirelli changed out today...had hit a pot hole and destroyed the passenger side rear. I then simply just had replaced both rears. The 05 drives like a dream: 255 40r 19

Even at the start of owning RR (10mos)..i've had the code indicating "catalytic conversion"...so with seeing the car has 200+K on the clock. My suspension for the cause is the o2 sensors. Today I changed out the pre cat sensors....drove for about 60 miles and the codes reappeared. Waiting now for my order of 2 post cats to come in the mail...i did break the seal on the remaining 2...installation should be easy.

Wait until you try to route the wires stock. Bring zip ties

Yeah, your right...i experienced the difficulty with one I remove prematurely...so to reinstall i connected the sensor to an undone coat hanger and fished it down to the exhaust. I had of course already cut the original zip ties.

"Reacquired" the X3 from my wife and 3 mo old for my 500 mile round trip commute to work... ok they came too, and will be spending the week near the Hamptons, LI while I work, and then head home soloto finish the carpet and new HVAC installation in the house (I'll pick them up again next weekend). I personally hadn't driven the X3 much since I "gifted" it to her this past winter (swapped her for her MK6 Jetta), so it was great to get those wheels rolling again. Despite hitting some construction traffic over the Whitestone going through NYC, made it out here on not even a quarter tank, for what worked out to be 26 mpg even. I washed it before we left but the brake dust is already building... I put a set of Raybestos i3 ceramic "blend" pads and rotors on my Silverado which provide amazing stops and almost zero dust hauling down its 1.5 X3s, so when I need brakes I'll try those out. Vacuumed/cleaned the interior today, then took it to the beach before heading in to work/out to sea.
