Locked out of car and key won't turn either lock
I don't have a fob for the vehicle. Both the doors are locked and will not open with the key. The lock feels like it is turning over on both door locks but the lock doesn't open. I got the driver side door lock raised when I unlocked the trunk but the door will still not open. I'm going to take my heat gun and try to thaw the door handle. I sprayed isopropyl alcohol in the lock and tried to get it onto the frame through the door seam but idk if that helped or not.
Update: I got into the car and it started right up like a champion!!

I put the key into the trunk and unlocked the trunk because I was going to try to crawl into the car through the trunk and all the doors unlocked too.

On my two E30s, that's the only way to lock or unlock all the doors. It's not made like that, but that's the only thing that will work. I'm too lazy to fix the door actuators.

Now the car won't start ***x1f615; I drove it yesterday and everything was fine, today it doesn't turn over. This BMW is a fickle hellcat!! I'm beyond frustrated with it. Would a lack of coolant prevent the starter from turning over? The battery seems fine since all the lights come on. The starter could be bad, but isn't that something that you would notice going bad for awhile?

Do the lights dim when you attempt to start the engine? If not, you have a poor connection to the starter, or a poor ground from the engine block to the chassis.
