BMW Z3 & Z4 Roadster (and Coupe) Homecoming

Over Labor Day weekend, BMW hosted the eighth annual Homecoming for Z4's and Z3 Roadsters and Coupes at the Greenville/Spartanburg plant.

I'd guess there were over 500 cars as official attendees, plus vendors. It was quite an event. Some marketing types that I talked to outside the BMW community called it a very impressive "Viral Marketing" event. Clearly, a lot of people have caught this virus.... A great party.

A few of the threads (in the Z3 & Z4 forum) on the topic:

Having a great time at the event:

This year's party theme was the 1950's.....

Groups drove from as far as Seattle. People attended from the UK....

Did anyone get a pic of the dark blue individual Z4 parked at the Embassy Suites on friday night? Had "different" wheels, a dark, possibly midnight blue paint, with very light cream almost shell leather on the seats only and a laminated wood dash in the tradition of old Chris-craft wood speedboat decks? Gorgeous! Was sporting a standard South Carolina tag so I'm wondering if its a plant car ...

That's the one. Beautiful in person, although the dash I saw had a slight nick on a corner that looked like it might have been "OEM". All the additional charges, I wonder what that puppy comes to ...

That is the best looking Z4 that I have seen.

If I were buying a Z4, I would get that package. That's assuming that BMWNA would allow it, even though it is made in the US

btw, do you know where those pictures were taken?

Nate, I don't know where the scenery is, but it's looking very nice
