F80/F82/F83 M3 and M4 (2015 - Current)
F80 BMW M3 sedan, F82 BMW M4 coupe and F83 M4 convertible forum. This 5th generation M3 and all new M4 features a 3.0 liter twin turbo engine (engine code S55) 425hp and 406lbs of torque! Heavy use of light weight materials makes this generation lighter and faster then the outgoing E9x M3.

Dinan Stages

I'm considering increasing HP with Dinan products. There's a Stage 3 tune f80 used (with a 30 day warranty) on ebay. Thoughts on used mods?

If I decide to move forward I'll replace the exhaust, down pipe, intakes, heat exchanger, et cetera. Do you think the HP with the changes in worth the significant expenses?

Also, if I purchase the stage 3 used, I'll want to have it installed asap to ensure it's functional and no issues. I would then install the additional parts, as stated, incrementally. Such as mod one month, exhaust and down pipe another month, and so forth. Can a state 3 be adjusted / set as increased HP parts are installed.

Thanks!!

Dinan piggy back are known to be on the conservative side. You can probably put the tune on without the recommended hardware but you may not be able to extract as much as advertised.

You can add the rest later and your total output should adjust incrementally... but YMMV.

If you don't have warranty or care for it there are other options for tuning modules or ECU tunes.
