840i xDrive Gran Coupe

Thank you BMW for making things difficult.
I am a Mercedes guy. I have been set on buying the S560 4matic for a while now. That was easy.
However, last night, out of a lapse in judgement, I visit the BMW website. Wow, that 8 is pretty great. I love the frameless doors, interior and exterior design. Its fresh, rare and beautiful.
However, what I love about the S is the pampered driving experience; confiningly quiet cabin, butterly smooth ride, and top quality materials throughout.
I suppose I need to test drive the 8 Gran Coupe to see how it measures up.

I would not get a S-Class right now. The new gen is coming in a few months.

And FWIW, the benz COMAND is a real PIA to use, the I-Drive on the other hand, along w/ traditional BMW electronics like HUD, and short cut presets, making using the functions so easy -

I agree. Crazy how when idrive first came out, it was terrible. Now it's one of the best.

You're going to like how BMW has more a la carte. Well, not so much in the 8 series.
