ZF Tranny

Can the 325 ZF be used on a 330 motor? BMW only shows the 330 ZF as being compatible with the E39 however it looks like the 5hp was also produced for the e46 325 and the Z4 e85.

It looks like they are quite different. The ZF catalog also lists different numbers.

Mein Auto: 2003 330ci (5 speed)
The ZF for the 330 is rated for higher torque. The 325 unit may not live as long in a 330 as a result.
