SAD OR GLAD? 35d E70 TO F15?

Has anyone traded or bought a F15, single turbo diesel and 8 speed transmission, that can tell us if you like it better than your older E70 35d? And just thinking about buying a 2014 or newer X5 35d with the sport package. Anybody have real world experience you can share here-THANKS IN ADVANCE-Jim in TN

Still asking for INFORMATION on the 35d F15

I am still asking if anyone with 35d F15 ownership, would give us an up-date how you like your single turbo diesel 8 speed transmission BMW X5? THANKS, Jim

It is very similar in experience. Suspension feels detuned from E70, unless you get any of the upgrade suspension options.
The 8 speed shifts a lot, but it's overall a pleasant experience. Fuel economy up from E70 probably can be somewhat credited to the ZF8. A real appeal are some of the new tech and safety features with the Drivers Assistance Plus package, especially if equipped with adaptive cruise control. Additionally appealing from a maintenance standpoint is the simplicity of having a single turbo, and later generation of SCR.
