Suspension advice needed

In my intro thread I shared with you that I just got my first 318i.
Yeah it needs a few things but I bought it knowing that upfront. Besides the price was right.

OK, here is what's going on. It needs shocks and struts. Now with 200,000 miles on the clock, should I also R&R the springs?

I want to keep the OEM ride.

As far as the shocks/struts go, I'm leaning toward the Bilstein's.

This is the fist thing on my list.
We all know more will follow.

If you are satisfied with the ride height as is, there should be no reason to change the springs. Just examine them for breakage or corrosion. Bilstein, Koni or several other shock/strut setup will work nicely. Make sure whichever you buy that they are for a standard height suspension. Those intended for a lowered suspension will be near the top of their stroke on a normal height setup.
