Clearbra price?

About ready to pick up a black 5 series. I was quoted close to $2000.00 for clear bra install by 3rd party and close to $2200 from the dealer. If I am correct it maybe Venturashied.
Is this about right?
any recommendations of good installers for Clearbra In the ny/ long island region. Any recommendation as of recent.

Much appreciated.

Everyone that had one told me to steer away from them. 2,000 sounds like a lot. My mom's mercedes was only 500 and a buddy of mine that has a Mini GP was also around 500.

That seems like a waste of money for that product. Buy something else like some sort of mod or exhaust or wheels or a cheap date.

Yeah around the $500 mark for Xpel is reasonable. Maybe a little more for the lights and mirrors.

$2000 is a whole lot of clear bra. I paid around $500 - $550 for my X5 about 2 yrs ago. There's different types of coverage which can lead to a wide variance in price though.

Last August, I paid $1,200 for my Porsche. Included front bumper, headlamps, turning signals and foglamps, 50% of hood and fenders plus back sides of wheel wells, rocker panels side and rear, sideview mirrors, door handles and opening, complete windshield post. They installed 3M clearguard. The installer primarily does Porsches and did a superb job.

I think this should be about the going rate. It was the same as I paid to have my ZO6 done.

hmm thought so, i need to shop around for other dealers. I'm unsure on why this is expensive. I wonder if the rate is higher in NY. don't mind paying upto a $1000.00 but 2k for film seems a little too steep.

The most important thing is to find a great installer. Stay away from the ones who say the bubbles will disappear over time.

Contact a local Porsche dealer to ask who they use for their customer's cars.

My dealership wanted about $1100 for tint and clearbra together.

I know the guy they outsource their work to and he is doing it for $550.

I like having clear bras protection so I don't have to worry about chips, etc. when I'm out having fun, especially since I'm afflicted with OCD.

$500 for the X-pel Ultimate is a steal!

The cost depends on what you want done too. Also, the area that you're in helps to determine the price too.

I had gotten a price for our other car (2011 Audi S5) to get the entire hood done, along with the front end, mirrors, a-pillar/front roof, door cups, door edges and rear trunk loading area was $1040 from one installer. It was $1700 from another installer in my area, that does a lot of dealer work.

I figured that it was worth travelling an extra 15 miles to save almost $700.

We had 3m on our E70 X5 when we had it and it was the best out there at the time. Now, X-Pel is the best. It's self healing (google it, it's pretty amazing) and it costs a bit more, but it is THE BEST at this time. 3M has good glue, but terrible material. It has a ton of orange peel in it and stands out a bit more than X-Pel does.

I also agree that the dealer is making a pretty good profit on the install. I like to call it garage rental because they are making the upcharge by having the same installer use their building. Try to get a price from the installer directly and you'll see what I mean.

Good Luck!

I have CDO. It's basically OCD but in alphabetical order. As it should be.
