F30 320i (2018)

Morning / Afternoon / Evening ( depending on your time zone )

I have a 2018 320i F30, 45000KM and it has an intermittent misfire , been at BMW now for almost 3 weeks, and the best feedback i can get from them, is that it has excessive carbon build up on 1 cylinder.

Is this Normal? what could the cause be, as they clearly seem to not know whats happening

45000 kilometers in 1 to 2 years are lots of driving.

Carbon buildup usually is due to incomplete combustion, and low quality can be a contributing factor.

So is there good quality AKI89 and above available in your area?

And is the car under warranty?

I got it This year on 30000 ( show room demo?) and drive 60km round trip to work every day ( all free way)

AKI89? unsure we basically have 2 fuel types in South Africa, 91 octane, and 95 octane, i only put in 95

Still puzzled why it would only be on 1 cylinder though?

Yup, still under full warranty / motorplan
